Highlights on Jen´s interview with Josh Horowitz

Hello!! Recently Josh Horowitz interviewed Jen for his podcast Happy,Sad and Confused , their conversation was full of Jen's view on life as a director, as well as her earlier years in acting and high school , here are the highlights of that interview, sit back and enjoy, remember that you can listen to,the podcast on iTunes or sound cloud, or click the image to listen to the podcast!!

-In NYC is located Jen's favorite bed! Plus she loves NYC

-Jen appeared in Nick Clashe's music video , for which she was called to be in at 4:45 am the same day of shooting!! (Sweet of Jen saying yes to a video at 4:45!!)

-At that video shooting was Ashley and Jessica Simpson.

-Directing was something she's been intrigued on doing for over the years.

-Warning Labels has symbolisms, is about people trying to find themselves. That is what mainly caught Jen's eye to choose it for her directing debut.

-Jen calls Andrew Carlberg her producing soulmate.

-Warning Labels was shot in 2 days. (Fast uh?)

-While filming Warning Labels, Jen considered that it will probably be seen in small media devices rather than the big scree, so the film was made to shine also in a small screen. (Very wise!!)

-Anthony Tambakis, who wrote Warrior, has given Jen a script, which she is obsessed about, for her to direct, possibly next hiatus.

-Books and literature have always been part of her life.

-When she was in High School, she felt a little socially awkward, because she wasn't into pop culture. -She became a pop-culture consumer, in college.

-Jen was an AP student (wow!!) and consumed into classes like calculus (OMG!!) , show choir, marching band, soccer, cheerleader.etc

-FUNNY FACT: While in college, making out with this guy, she discovered Radio Head, and was amazed with their music, the next day she was at the cd store buying all Radio Head's cd's!!

-In High School, Jen tells she was like Tracy Flick (portrayed by Reese Witherspoon in the movie Election).

-Jen is -8 in both eyes, she says:"I am bliiind!!!"

-One of her best friends in college and up to date, changed her name from Jenny to Jen.

-A wish Jen has, more hours a day to read.

-Rose McIver was her roomie in Vancouver last year.

-Directing Warning Labels, made her feel vulnerable in a way, since all that is in the film was her choice.

-She is a workaholic (and the fans love that!) but the longest she was not working was for 10 months at some point in the beginning of her career, and she did not liked it. (Who would?.. Please Jen never stop acting!!)

-The way she sees her career is: " Some people get an elevator and go from the ground floor to the PH in one shot, and some people, are on an escalator, they are sort of supported and can hangout while they go up. I feel like I've been on stairs, but very consistently, I've been stepping one step at a time and experiencing each step and taking it in and it's been on my control to keep stepping"

-Urban Legends 2 was shot while Jen was in college.

- Jen graduated from Loyola a year earlier!

-Jen never goes to set without knowing her lines..except twice a year. (Haha we loved that bit)

-"Preparedness is the key to Freedom" -Jennifer Morrison

-While shooting Warrior, the director had she and Joel E. Do the same things together as a couple, so they could play a marriage.

- Jen has improved her acting by playback, technique where you look at e scene you just filmed and go back and shoot it again so one can correct their mistakes.

-Life changing experience for Jen: Warrior and Pam, HIMYM director.

-HIMYM was fun to tape, since most of her roles have like the weight of the world on their shoulders, while Zoey, was more free spirited.

-The first time Jen sat at the bar booth, she was I. To total fan mode like:" I'm at THE booth!"

-Jen wondered " what is a ship? A bunch of people have boats?" It took her a long time to figure out ships, now she says ;" I was slow to the ship, one I'm on it"

-Warning Labels will have its west coast release at the Palm Springs festival in June . -Warning Labels is in negotiations for domestic and international distribution!!
